Ten Little Pirate Boys (Contest)

Yo ho, yo ho, a Pirates life for me.

Recently, I had to read the novel And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie for English class. It is a murder mystery book which really makes the reader think and overall, it was an outstanding book. You may be asking yourself, what is Blaze getting at? Let me tell you. There is a nursery rhyme in the novel that talks about 10 little indian boys who end up getting knocked off one by one. I decided it would be interesting to write one for Pirate101. The original nursery rhyme is called Ten Little Indian Boys but mine is called Ten Little Pirate Boys. Needless to say, it will take some thinking but there will be a contest at the end.
The original nursery rhyme went as follows:

Ten Little Indian Boys Went Out To Dine
One Choked His Little Self And Then There Were Nine
Nine Little Indian Boys Sat Up Very Late
One Overslept Himself And Then There Were Eight
Eight Little Indian Boys Traveling In Devon
One Said He'd Stay There And Then There Were Seven
Seven Little Indian Boys Chopping Up Sticks
One Chopped Himself In Halves And Then There Were Six
Six Little Indian Boys Playing With A Hive
A Bumbblebee Stung One And Then There Were Five
Five Little Indian Boys Going In For Law
One Got In Chancery And Then There Were Four
Four Little Indian Boys Going Out To Sea
A Red Herring Swallowed One And Then There Were Three
Three Little Indian Boys Walking In The Zoo
A Big Bear Hugged One And Then There Were Two
Two Little Indian Boys Sitting In The Sun
One Got Frizzled Up And Then There Were One
One Little Indian Boy Left All Alone
He Went And Hanged Himself And Then There Were None
The plot of the novel And Then There Were None is based off of that nursery rhyme. My version, Ten Little Indian Boys, goes as follows.

Ten Little Pirate Boys Searching For Gold
One Caused a Curse, And Then There Were Nine
Nine Little Pirate Boys Manning The Ship
One Fell Overboard And Then There Were Eight
Eight Little Pirate Boys Getting Yum Yum Fruit
One Picked The Wrong Fruit And Then There Were Seven
Seven Little Pirate Boys Battling The Armada
One Got Defeated And Then There Were Six
Six Little Pirate Boys Playing With Their Knives
One Cut Himself And Then There Were Five
Five Little Pirate Boys Tending A Fire
One Fell In And Then There Were Four
Four Little Pirate Boys Repairing Their Ships
One Forgot To Anchor And Then There Were Three
Three Little Pirate Boys Looting Deacon
One Got Caught And Then There Were Two
Two Little Pirate Boys Hosting Their Flags
One Tied It To His Underpants And Then There Was One
One Little Pirate Boy Left All Alone
He Went And Lost To Sharks And Then There Were None
Do you like it? I really enjoyed writing it. Now for the contest. Leave a comment with your own rendition of Ten Little Indian Boys and the one I like the most will receive a tier 7 KIFG code (when they are back up)!

Good luck to everyone!

See you in the Spiral!

  1. I quiet like it! Just your words at the end of the sentences didn't rhyme. (Ex: Dine rhymes with nine; but Armada doesn't rhyme with six.)

    1. It isn't supposed to rhyme. That's just a coincidence that dine rhymes with nine.

    2. Thanks :D and yes, Zack is correct. It was never meant to rhyme. Dine and Nine is just a coincidence.

    3. ^ ..? Thanks for the nice comment Anonymous! As the two people who commented above, they are correct. Agatha Christie never intended for it to rhyme. It was. How they put it, a coincidence.

  4. How is rhyming "coincidental"? One does not write ten verses of a nursery rhyme and find that they all magically rhyme without one meaning for it to happen.

    1. After further review, I stand corrected to a certain extent. Most of the lines in the rhyme do in fact rhyme but I was looking at the whole rhyme as a whole and not just specific parts. So yes, Agatha Christie did in fact make a few lines rhyme and a few not.
