Do you know what yesterday was? You're all smart cookies so you can probably tell from the title but it was my Fourth Blogaversary! I can't believe it has been four years (and a day) since I started Tales of the Spiral or as it used to be known as, Mywizard101site. That's like 1,460 days (and today)... Crazy right? I would just like to say thank you to all of you because without you, where would I be? What would I gain motivation from? You guys inspire me to keep blogging so thank you for giving me your ears.
When thinking about what to do for this post, I had a few ideas. I'm going to give you an inside look at the progression of TotS and how it evolved graphics wise (you can make fun of my artistic abilities here) and than I will tell you all about an awesome surprise I have in store to celebrate this milestone. So, let's get to it!
Duelist101's Duel-A-Duelist Party Recap
Hello everyone!If you recall, yesterday I posted a recap of the marvelous Petnome birthday celebrations. Today, I've got another recap for your enjoyment but this time of the Duelist101, "Duel-A-Duelist" event! With various houses filled with PvP ranging from 1v1 to 4v4, guest appearances by Kevin the Noob along with the rest of the Duelist staff, everyone was having a blast all night long and the party seemed to never end!
Petnome’s 4th Birthday Party Recap!
What's going on fellow Wizards!This weekend was full of magic. Many celebrations took place such as Petnome's 4th birthday, Mercenaries for Hire's 5th birthday, and Duelist101's "Duel a Duelist" event. In this post I'll be giving you an overview of the whole Petnome birthday celebration starting with the Loremaster farming event on the 18th ending with the huge party on the 19th. Next post will be a recap of the Duelist101 celebration. M4H had a contest to celebrate and you can view all the details for their "High Five!" contest HERE! Let's get started shall we?
Fifth of July Party Recap
Another successful Shadowhorn party has come and gone. The first ever Fifth of July party was a complete success! Despite only giving a days notice, close to 100 people showed up and it was packed! Thanks to publicity from tons of twizards, bloggers, and a Facebook event page, it all turned out really well!
Review of the First Annual Wizardly Awards!
The twittersphere has been blowing up the all day with Wizards from around the spiral tweeting about the First Annual Wizardly Awards. The hashtag #WizardlyAwards was seen EVERYWHERE as people said who they thought would win which awards, what it was like, and much more! Host Angel Ice did a magnificent job holding the awards in his Myth House which was full to the gills!
In the rest of this post, I'll be giving you a rundown of the whole event, who won what award, exclusive interviews with the creator of the Wizardly Awards: Tyler Battlewalker, one of the hosts for the night: Angel Ice, the winner of three awards: Kelsey Fireheart, and the fabulous Lindsey Goldengrove who was the photographer. In addition to all of that, I will be doing an overview of the private after party and what it was like with some amazing photos and a special video made by those who attended the after party. Plus get the inside scoop on next years Wizardly Awards such as where and when they will be!
Surprise!
Hellooo Wizards and Pirates!!!Blaze Shadowhorn here and boy do I have a surprise for you! As you may recall from my recent post, "It's Been a While... Stay or Go?", I wanted your input if I should come back and re-join the community and continue blogging or if I should leave.
Needless to say, I got so many warm and kind responses from all of you that really made me happy so I am so happy to say, I'm back in the Spiral baby! But what's new on my end? What can you expect to see on this blog from now on? Will I be playing Wizard101 or Pirate101 or both!? Keep reading for all the deets!
Wizard101 UK Halloween Party Review
It's that time of year again when we all start heading off to Halloween parties. Yesterday, Wizard101 UK hosted their official Halloween party which was part of the Death School Celebration. There was so much going on such as many packs being given away, tons of contests, and a happy environment full of Wizards enjoying the festive holiday.
My 4th of July Party Summary~
Hey guys! Well as most of you know cause of all the talk throughout the Spiral, I had my 4th of July party. It was HUGE! We had 300+ Wizards attend! Even 9 hours before the party started we had a good 20 Wizards camping out in the Ice Tower. I ported there a few times to talk to the Wizards waiting. I also took some friend requests so they could reserve their spot at the party. We had many contests and prizes that we gave out. I gave out a good 200+ cards as prizes. We had many Wizards take pictures and video of the event which they sent to me.How many of you know of Wizard101 Press? * everyone's hands go up*. Well Jason Storm (manager of the press) and many other wizards of the press reviewed the party. It was a stunning review that took my breath away (in a good way). Here is what they said:
"Ravenwood Ball was great, but it was to crowded and to many party crashers just demolished the tower of awesomeness. I was really disappointed, and I went to a couple other parties and none of those were able to rebuild the tower.
July 4th, 2011. A party was brewing, the seams bursting. 5,4,3,2! 1! Porttttttt, the name reads Blaze Shadowhorn and his Port Busmen. Must say I didn't get on the port bus because Wizard101 just wouldn't let me port to him. My great friend Deathy Wiz told Blaze that I wasn't able to port to his alt. Blaze, HIMSELF went to the Ice Tower, added me and we became really good friends. This is my review:

Isn't that like the most totally shocking awesomeness review ever!!! Basically they said it was better then the Ravenwood Ball! That means the WORLD to me and I just want to thank everyone at the post for the amazing review.
