When Tales of the Spiral was in its infancy, I didn't really know anyone in the community. All it took was me hitting 100 posts, throwing a party and because of this, a never-ending friendship was born.

Blaze Shadowhorn here to talk to you about something that has hit the nation by storm. Over the past few weeks, people all around the United States and Abroad have taken a bucket filled with very cold water and ice and dumped it on their heads. You may wonder why they are doing this and I am here to explain that to you.

If you recall, yesterday I posted a recap of the marvelous Petnome birthday celebrations. Today, I've got another recap for your enjoyment but this time of the Duelist101, "Duel-A-Duelist" event! With various houses filled with PvP ranging from 1v1 to 4v4, guest appearances by Kevin the Noob along with the rest of the Duelist staff, everyone was having a blast all night long and the party seemed to never end!

This weekend was full of magic. Many celebrations took place such as Petnome's 4th birthday, Mercenaries for Hire's 5th birthday, and Duelist101's "Duel a Duelist" event. In this post I'll be giving you an overview of the whole Petnome birthday celebration starting with the Loremaster farming event on the 18th ending with the huge party on the 19th. Last week, my good friend Edward Lifegem held an Interview Week where he had interviews every day. I got the honor of being interviewed and I must say, it was really fun. Tons of questions to answer, giving my opinion on topics, and giving advice to others. In this post you will find the interview as well as a link to Ed's interview post which has more detail. Four days ago, Pirate101 was released to all those who played in beta, bought a bundle, or who got a membership. As I walked into Avery's room, I was astounded as to how many people I found in there! It was sooooo cramped! It was so nice to see all the new players and see how everyone was so excited to play Pirate101.
I also changed my flag colors to Black and Gold and made my symbol Horus, the Hawk God in Egyptology. I loved the color choices and I got some new gear from Fin Dorsal which has really good stats. Anyways, enough about me, let's talk about the head start as a whole!

The time has come to say goodbye... As most of you know, I rarely play Wizard101 anymore and I don't really blog anymore. As of May 26th, I will be officially quitting the blog, Spiral Live, and Wizard101. Yes I will still check out all the community blogs constantly and I will still be active on my twitter, and you might even see me in-game once or twice a month.

The one thing common in most MMORPG games is PvP. In Wizard101 this is what a lot of players enjoy the most. Now in Wizard101 UK you don't even have to pay for ranked PvP!!!

Wizard101 UK has announced that in preparation for the Wizard101 Europe PvP Tournament which will be discussed later, they are making PvP FREE for everyone so they can prepare for the tournament.

I think this is a good opertunity for Wizards to grasp their decks and wands and to get crackin on ranking up to Warlord because normally it costs crowns to play ranked PvP. Now as I mentioned, Wizard101 EU is hosting it's first ever Wizard101 Tournament. In this tournament, Wizards will compete in the PvP arena for fun and to step out as the winner with 10,000 crowns or a 2 month Wizard Club Membership.

Now since I only know as much as I read, here are the words of Wizard101 UK Community Manager, Anemsalok. Excerpt from http://board.wizard101.co.uk/ranked-tournament-event

Hello Young Wizards!
Our European Tournament is about to begin! You have until Sunday the 22nd of January midnight (forum time) to subscribe for it. The Tournament will officially start Monday the 23rd of January!

What do you need to do in order to take part:
- Join the European Tournament Subscriptions thread.
- Give us the name, school and level of your Wizard (make sure the forum account you use correspond to the wizard of your choice).
- Read the Rules.
- Join and win as many PvP Ranked 1v1 matches you can till Sunday the 29th of January.
- Respect the Rules and enjoy to the fullest!

WOW! That's pretty amazing. Basically you have until tomorrow night to sign up for the PvP tournament and remember that this is in Wizard101 UK not Wizard101 US. Now the main question everyone has is how do I sign up? Well that's fairly simple. All you have to do is click on this link and sign up :P It's pretty simple. Please remember that one of the guidelines is to read the rules so here they are:

Only 1 Player versus 1 Player RANKED matches will be taken into account (PvP 1v1).

All Participants have to sign in until the 22nd of January (Forum time).

All Participants must fight in the PvP RANKED ARENA of the Unicorn Way.

Practice matches will not count.

Any match other than 1vs1Ranked will not count as tournament match under any circumstances

All card spells are allowed.

Participation with only 1 forum account is allowed.

Pets are allowed.

Mastery Amulets are allowed.

If a Player gets disconnected or flees, he/she loses this match.

Any kind of manipulation made to gain advantage in the Tournament will lead to disqualification.

Team-members of this or any other community can participate since they do not have access to any results.

It doesn’t matter if the person you are fighting with in the Arena also takes part of the Tournament, in this case the fight will count for you. If you both participate it will count for both.

In addition to this PvP update, Wizard101 UK has added tons of new things to the Crowns Shop. These items include new gear, the Magic Carpet Mount, Fairy Wings, Pets, and the family-favorite Mastery Amulets.

Well as people say, all good things must come to an end. Sadly, this must happen for the Snowball :( The Snowball leaves the Spiral in exactly 2 Days and 20+ minutes. Don't fret if you didn't get it because I just figured out a hint KI gave on proof that it will be coming back next year XD

Now remember that HUGE sale Wizard101 was having on Crowns? Well it ended on January 16th and I finally stocked up on Crowns :D Thanks to the sale, I got an additional 2,000+ Crowns with my purchase of 13,750 Crowns ($25). Let's just say I spent a lot of crowns re-gifting people *cough cough* Talon Thunderblade. Talon gifted me 13 Raven's Hoard packs which I was obviously very grateful for but sadly I never got any of the pets like Ethan :( Although non of us got the mount (except for Nick who got the Raven), Ethan got 5 Ice Beetles, 3 Ice Birds, 2 Storm Birds, 5 Earthwalkers, a few treants, and soooooo much more. You should see his house. It's insane how much he got from Raven's Hoards he got. I want to tell you how much Crowns he spent on it but I will let him tell you that in his next post ;)

I also can finally finish all the Worlds!!! I now can go back and finish Wysteria, Wintertusk, and at long last Zafaria. This could take a while :P

SOPA/PIPA Update

Remember my last post about SOPA and PIPA? Well Congress has "indefinitely postponed voting on SOPA and PIPA." This is a huge accomplishment for the Online Society because the millions of people world wide have spoken out and the government has ceased the SOPA and PIPA bill for now. If you are a Wizard who is involved in the bloggosphere or pays attention to blogs, you most likely know of Swordroll. Swordroll is an amazing blog run by Jason Goldriver. I had the amazing opportunity to meet up with Jason in-game. Now Jason is a housing kind of guy. Basically he took over Malorn Ghostirder's position in the community. Jason now runs Housing101 which was handed down by Malorn plus Jason has tons of things about housing on his blog.

Jason and I chatted for a few then went on a photo shoot :P

If you couldn't tell, Jason and I love PvP :P Sadly I had to rush away to a PvP match with Ethan, Nick, and mine and Ethans IRL friend Steven. Needless to say we rocked the PvP arena :)

So yea, overall my meeting with Jason was pretty cool :) We had fun chatting and we will be setting up an interview sometime soon :) I highly suggest you go check out Jason's blog over at Swordroll.com and make sure to follow him. Remember my post on Project Rank Up? Well I didn't do much work with it in 2011 but I finally started it back up! Now before I talk about it look at how my Wizards used to look like and their level....

Now here is the rundown of my current Wizards:

Now first off ewwww on the outfits :P The only outfit I haven't changed is the Myth outfit. The Storm outfit is still being worn till level 45 and then I have an epic Dragonspyre outfit planned out which has the same robe as Paige Daisypetal and the same hat as Nick but all this is in Purple and Yellow. Go Lakers! :P

Now you may have noticed that I said I have a Life Wizard. In all honesty I think he looks pretty cool :P Ed Lifegem is gonna have some competition now ;P Oh I forgot to mention he has a Life Troll pet which matches his outfit perfectly :P

As for my Fire, thank god he isn't wearing that Genie outfit anymore :P He actually has some style now which looks pretty cool :)

Yup no more Genie outfit XD He is rocking it with a Firezilla pet which I have had for YEARS! It was my first Wizard101 Giftcard and I remember the day I got it at Best Buy :) Good times... Anyways I got the Galvanic Hammer when KI was giving away those codes over twitter. So yea.... They don't look too noobie do they ;)

Now personally I can write soooo much more but then I will have nothing to blog about! So as I said in the Swordroll section of this post, remember those photos. Why? Because It's time for a MEGA POST CONTEST!!!!

Now this one is going to be an eye spy with my little eye kind of contest :) All you have to do is spot out the difference in the photo and email me your answer to mywizard101site@gmail.com The subject for the email should be Photo Contest.

Once again the object of the contest is to find the difference in these two photos. This should be very easy :P

Now you might be wondering what's the prize. Well the prize is one Hoard pack of your choice! That means you can pick a Dragon, Wyvern, or Raven hoard and it's all yours :)

Now not everyone can win so as we do on Spiral Live, I will take the correct answers, put them into random.org and come up with a winner :D The winner and I will then meet up in game for me to gift them the prize. Now go and find the difference in these photos!

Do you like the Internet? Do you like Wizard101 blogging and blogging in general? Well this will all be changed if Congress passes the SOPA and PIPA bill.

Here is an overview of the bill:

The originally proposed bill would allow the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as copyright holders, to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. Depending on who makes the request, the court order could include barring online advertising networks and payment facilitators from doing business with the allegedly infringing website, barring search engines from linking to such sites, and requiring Internet service providers to block access to such sites. The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a crime, with a maximum penalty of five years in prison for ten such infringements within six months. The bill also gives immunity to Internet services that voluntarily take action against websites dedicated to infringement, while making liable for damages any copyright holder who knowingly misrepresents that a website is dedicated to infringement.^{[4] -Wikipedia SOPA/PIPA}

Basically if this bill get's passed, we can say goodbye to thew internet we know. Millions upon millions of people world wide are taking part in this protest. Google, Wikipedia and tons of other websites as well as Facebook are protesting against the SOPA/PIPA bill. Here is something that Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook Founder, posted earlier today:

Now besides this, Wikipedia as well as other sites have pledged to be "blacked out" for 24 hours in order to raise awareness of SOPA and PIPA. Here are some of the ways many sites are taking part.

I just read my "twin" Talon Thunderblade's most recent post and it meant the world to me :) It was on his Friend Awards and what he said for me just was very kind hearted. You can find his post here. Here is what he wrote:

A friend that is my twin.
Blaze Shadowhorn. Ok, this goes way back to June. Remember me meeting up with Ed? Blaze wanted to meet me as well. Blaze was on Wizard because it was the run with Thomas Lionblod, the Ravenwood Radio crew, and him. I will cherish that night because it was such great time. I got to add four famous bloggers (or at least to me). Edward got to add Friendly also! So one very late night, Stormriven, he asked if I wanted to farm with him. Although I had almost max gold, I still wanted to help him and save up drops to my shared bank so I could get more gold. Obviously, you need to talk about something when farming and battling because if you didn't there wouldn't be much fun. I started talking about my likes, which lead to more of hobbies. Turns out we had all things in common hobby/likes-wise. We eventually confirmed that we were twins. In fact I made huge a post dedicated to him here. Blaze and I really wanted to meet each other in real life. We thought it could never happen, but... We actually did meet up...twice. Yes, you read right, Blaze Shadowhorn and Talon Thunderblade met in real life at *insert city name park* It took forever to meet up in real life because it was completely unplanned. The conflicts were so desolating, but we made it through the end...twice. I talk with Blaze just about everyday. He inspires me, that twin of mine...

So with that I say, Talon, you will be my twin forever and I am glad to have met you :)

"Hello Wizards!
Today I just noticed that the test realm was released! Now, I haven't been having too much fun before the test realm was released. Before I wasn't really wanting to get on wizard101, until today! Today I decided to test out the new world, Wysteria. If you ask me, it is a very nice world, and It actually made me feel like I was a new wizard when I first started playing it. When you first start wizard101 you talk to all of the professors and they are all new to you, well you also talk to all of the professors in Wysteria!

Here is one of the professors that I decided to take a picture of. There are 4 professors in Wysteria! It was fun talking to them, just like talking to the professors when you start wizard101. I think the best part of this was that I did seeing Pegasus horse in this new world! They also mentioned them as being mounts when reading a quest! I took a photo of this mount so everyone could see!

I am glad they did make a mount like that! I hope it will be released soon if it is a mount. Knowing that we don't have them right now, I am sure they will be released soon if they mentioned it in a quest. Also, don't forget, in the quest in Marleybone, Celestia was mentioned. Since this mount was mentioned, maybe it will become a mount soon! That would be very awesome. I would take the one in front of me since it matches my school. It would be awesome if there was one for each school, and all of them would look different!

This may be a spoiler alert for those who don't want to see. So do read this if you don't want to find out the story line of Wysteria just yet. During this story line, It really did seem that the headmaster of this school was really blaming Professor Ambrose, and talking bad about how Ravenwood School of Magical arts was. When she was talking about Ambrose, and the school I kept thinking that maybe she was the bad one. Throughout the story line it kept getting mysterious! Another one I thought was bad was Randolf, he kept saying he was going to win the competition, and when the reward was stolen, I thought that he may of been the one to frame me for stealing it, and he could have won from me being disqualified from this competition.. Until the very end, The Earth teacher was the one who did frame me, but he was under a spell, and I finally saved him!

After this very long story line, I finally won the reward, defeating the last of this competition!IF there is a next year for this, I will make sure I will win it again! Don't worry about that one! :)

Well I have known Ed for a while. He was with me ever since the beginning. There is a famous quote from "A Tale of Two Cities", a book I read this year and it goes like this - "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Basically Ed and I have been through so much together you wouldn't even know. As the quote says, we have been each other in the best of times (Ed's 100th follower, my parties) and the worst of times (WCP controversy).

Ed, since your reading this probably, I just want to say thanks for all the amazing times we have had and I hope we have many more in the future :)

Here is a video dedicating your birthday and our friendship. This goes back to the way way beginning when I met you at my 100th post party :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM TEAM FRIENDLY XD

Well to start off... I haven't been posting as much as I used to and would like to. This is because now I am a counselor at a camp and I am out of the house from 7:30am-5:00pm. This doesn't give me much time to hang and chill etc. This only runs for 2 more weeks (after this week).

I am also going to be at a overnight later on in the summer (late late August). It will be 1 week of sleeping at a camp which don't get me wrong is gonna be super awesomeness fun :P I am going to schedule a few posts to post every day or two while I am gone. I don't have many ideas left to post about since on my list of what to post about (yes I have a list :P) I only have 4 ideas as of now.

Anyways So in my last post I said how Ed would be coming back today... Well he didn't... Turns out he is coming back in August due to change in plans which I don't know of. He posted this on Twitter and Facebook and I was at camp (as said above) and I would not have known about this unless Autumn Dreamwalker told me about this (thanks again Autumn ;). Well I was shocked to hear this and I was kinda sad ;( But that's life and you have to learn to move on. As they say, "When life gives you lemons, you make lemon-aid." I am kinda embarissed to say this but I legit forgot the saying a few seconds ago lol. I thought it was "when you have lemons, you make lemon-aid" :P Silly o'll Blaze :)

Anyways so I hope to see ya around the Spiral and if I see you make sure to drop by and say hi :) (that rhymed lol)

I could go on and on and on for a long time. Ed has been my closest friend ever since I met him. He has been so kind to me. He is like a brother to me. Recently he made a post and tweeted a few times that he was quitting Wizard101 and blogging. I was very distressed when I heard this because like I would loose my best friend (although I have many best friends who I won't name because this post is dedicated to Ed). This all happened due to a very very very well-known blogger thinking the letter from KingsIsle regarding the Wizard City Protectors (WCP) was forged. He sent a letter to a member of the WCP regarding that. The WCP person sent it to Ed and Ed got very sad that someone thought this.

After that, Ed declared that he was quitting blogging and Wizard101 forever... ;( He was convinced yesterday by an anonymous WCP to re-join Wizard101. Ed doesn't play as much like once in a blue moon but he canceled his Birthday Party and the WCP (which other wcp are trying to fix).

We as a community hope to see Ed more often. Ed, since your prob reading this, I hope to see you in the Spiral as much as I used to and you leaving would devastate the whole spiral.

I can't stop Ed from quitting Wizard101 but I can try to keep him with us and to keep him as long as possible.

Hey guys! So yesterday I saw on twitter that Mary needed help in Wu because there was a lot of stuff going on. I quickly logged on and ported to her to see Ed, Aaron , Isaac, Angel Winterbreeze and many other twizards there. Ed and I stayed the longest. There were many many people I had to ignore and even report. It was not fun seeing all the foul language being used. Even though I had text chat and not open chat I could still make out what they were saying. I had some people say some nasty things to me... After about an hour we got it to quiet down and be more "appropriate". It kinda started up again but only for a few minutes.

Secondly, let me ask you a question. Do you view Wizard101 Central? Well if you do (or don't) you probably have heard of Deathshard (Elijah Deathshard). He is the #1 posted for Wizard101 Central! All those amazing guides you see etc. have a connection to Deathshard one way or another :P Anyways I had the amazing opportunity to meet him while I was in Wu with everyone. At first I was like hmmm... Deathshard seems familiar. I then asked Ed who Deathshard was and Ed said he was from twitter (twizards) and Wizard101 Central. I quickly went on to twitter and I remembered he was my good friend and follower Deathshard :) I then was like ohhh. You can follow him at @Deathshard. Then someone was acting like Deathshard was god and was like "The #1 poster of Central is here!!! Introducing Deathshard!!!" Then he was like "Back away from Deathshard or I will put the police on you!" Like I admire everyone liking Deathshard and I know he is well known but acting like he is god. Seriously? It is a little to far there.

Anyways I then checked Central to make sure Deathshard was #1 poster and what would you know; he is!!! It was very cool knowing that and I was glad to actually meet him. I never meet him in wizzy though. Here are a few pics about meeting up with deathshard and him being the Central top poster:
