Hey guys! So if you remember when I was still doing Spiral Live, Nick and I were doing a New Year's Extravaganza featuring an interview with Ravenwood Radios, Stephen Spiritcaller. Sadly, the file was corrupted and we couldn't play the interview so Icy jumped in to help us out. We interviewed each other and we all had a blast. It just came to me that I never posted the actual interview here so I decided to do that now. Since the interview was very long and had tons of random stuff i'm going to skip some pars but if you would like to listen to it, click here and go to 38:51. Welcome to Ninja Training 101. Eh I mean, information on the new Ninja Lore game pack!

A few days ago, KI released the new Ninja's Lore pack in game. Aside from all the new gear and pets, there are new spells you can obtain for your spell book!

These spells are a brand new genius idea by KI and we must commend them on this expansion. They never let us down. The new spells which you can have in your spell book like any other spell are the Ninja Pig (old Treasure Card), Samoorai, and the Goat Monk. Want to know the best part about these spells? They don't cost you any training points!!! This is very helpful for all the nooby Wizards who want to buy a lot of Ninja's Lore packs and get these spells, then dominate in PvP etc. Here are the "rules" for the new spells.

They don't cost training points (as I mentioned) because they are reward cards from a pack.
If you buy your training points back from Mr. Lincoln, these cards wont disappear.
You can blade, trap, enchant etc. these spells.
They obey the rules of power pips and the usage of them.
You can never sell or get rid of these cards.
Once you get it, you can't get it again.

As for the new gear, we have all these amazing tunics and Mooshu style outfits which i'm sure will be a major hit. I personally think it's pretty cool having all these new items and i'm sure Amber Rosepetal and Mary Dreamshade will adore because of the Japanese theme for all the new gear and pets. As I mentioned above, the new Shenlong pet's are out which are basically the Wyvern mount but without the saddle and wings. There are 5 Shenlong Dragon pets which you can collect and train.

Anyways, Spiral Live is this weekend and as always, Nick and I will be hosting. Last episode we had Thomas Lionblood aka The Friendly Necromancer join us for a spectacular night. We had our usual contest and because Tom is so generous, he gave a 1,000 Crown code to all the Wizards who got the answer correct :) He also joined us for an after party where we had a Wizard101 football game. The Celestian Skeletons vs. The Wintertusk Wearwolves. I was the Wearwolves captain and Nick was the Skeletons captain. As you can guess, we transformed into our teams name :P i.e. Skeletons, and Wolves :P

All in all it was a great episode :) This week we hope to hit it back up with episode 16 and a new Frozen to Death segment! Actually, FTD has a new website. You can now read up to where we are in the Spiral Live segment by clicking on the top right corner of the book.

Hello Wizardly Friends!

So if you didn't know, I haven't been able to log in to Wizard101 recently for weird reasons. Earlier today, I tried logging on and realized that this annoying update pop-up appeared again. I got so annoyed so I finally clicked it and waited a few minutes and when it finished, I was able to log on to W101 again!!! I finally was able to check out all the new updates and log in to receive my various birthday gifts from Nick and Friendly. Those guys are the best :) Which reminds me....HAPPY WIZAVERSARY NICK!!! It's Nick's Wizaversary so go over to his blog and comment with a friendly hello on his new post.

As for Friendly, he is joining us on Spiral Live tonight for Episode 15 :) It's gonna be a blast with him on the show which will give all you listeners an inside look on a special interview, a sweet contest, and the chance at asking Friendly live questions and having them answered immediately... At long last.... I have finally answered Destiny's interview questions :P On her blog she said background info on my so I will do the same for her.

Destiny Soultamer (Des) is in her 40's (in levels ;P) and she is Ice, and Death. She runs the blog http://travelsofthethaumaturge.blogspot.com/ which I highly suggest you go check out and help support her blog because as a community we stick together and help one another. I have known Destiny for quite some time and I must say that she is a really nice and kind person :) Well enough of my blabbering... Onto the Interview!

-How/When Did you start blogging/ Playing W101?

Well I started playing in 2008. I was over my friend Evans house and he was playing on his Ice level 10 and then I must say it seemed kind of "weird" but then I went home, downloaded W101, and then started playing and these have been the most memorable times of my life XD How I started blogging? Well I first started off blogging a year after playing on a website I made, mywizard101site the original :P mywizard101site.webs.com. I kept it going for a few years then I stopped it a few months into mywizard101site.blogspot.com and continued blogging. Little did I know that I would be more then half way to 200 followers :D

-What about Spiral Live?

Spiral Live? Well it started off with Nick and me talking about a podcast and then he told me his idea and I decided to jump on the idea of me guest-hosting :D We have had an amazing 13 episodes so far and it has been an amazing experience for me and Nick. We learned how to create a RSS Feed, time managing skills, and so much more.

-What is your favorite part about the game? Your least favorite?

My favorite part of Wizard101 as always is the community. Without the community, we wouldn't have all the amazing things we have today such as new worlds (Zafaria-Nicholas Lionrider), Crowns Shop items, Ravens Hoard (Talon Seagem), and just we would not have the amazing blogs of the community that keep us up to date with all the news in the Spiral. As for my least favorite... I must say the hoards lol. Don't get my wrong I LOVE them! The problem is that in the long run they end up taking up sooooooo much money out of our pockets :P People have spent tons and tons of Crowns on Hoards which is their money but still, it costs sooooo much in the long run.

-I noticed that you have a LOT of followers, I mean a LOT. When did they follow? All at once, or (like many of us) was it just gradually?

Well for me, it was gradually. It has taken me a whole year to reach 100+ followers. It takes dedication and commitment to keep blogging even when your posts get like 50-100 views a post. Sometimes I try making Mega Posts which normally attract 1,000+ views because it includes tons and tons of info. Anyways I would say just stick with it and you will eventually get there :)

-Respond: You're in your house. A friend ports to you. You don't really know this friend, probably got them through a dungeon. Anyhow, they are begging you for treasure cards, sort of getting on your nerves about it. You can't leave, they'll follow you around, you can't delete right away for obvious reasons, and your friend would probably understand what the situation was if you just ignored them. (for lack of better word a few words back)

Well I would say give them a few cards. One, it's being nice. Two, they will leave you alone. Even if it means giving a few "nooby" cards, you can always re-stock up at bazaar.

-What is your impression on the Hoard Packs?

As I said earlier, I think they are good but very very addictive. I recommend giving a personal limit of when to stop buying Hoards.

-Lastly, do you have any advice for newer wizards? Or maybe, people starting an alt (ahem)? They're all watching...(pressure)

My advice is to keep working and you will eventually reach the top. Some alts ideas would be work gradually on them. Spend some time working on them. Don't rush ahead. Take your time.

Great show for episode 13. Was nervous but had some great viewers and a excellent after party. Uber Wife (The wife of the Friendly Necromancer) also known as Bailey Skystaff dropped in our chat room and owned me in PvP. I got "burned" pretty bad when I was killed by a Rain of Fire. Saddest part was of all transformations she was a fairy. So I got killed, by a fairy. Embarrassing much. Anyways great show, even without Blaze. His segment was good and I think our viewers really enjoyed it. So my rating was a 5/5 just for working. Being alone I thought I would just like ruin everything. But it all worked out and I am happy. :)

Well I have talked to Nick and listened to the podcast and I must say I agree that it went very very well :D I loved the intro music and I loved the Twilight reference :P "Seriously Girls. If you see a guy in the commons named Jacob in a wolf transformation don't go will you be my bf." LOL Nick :P Saying you winged this I say it went very well :) I hope you all liked my Segment at the end :)

If you remember in my last MEGA POST I mentioned that I was having a contest which you had to find the difference in the two photo's of me and Jason from Swordroll. First off I had tons of feedback for this Contest which I am so happy about XD As you can recall, the prize was a Hoard of your choice. That means a Dragon, Wyvern, or Raven Hoard. Well let's get onto the good part shall we.

Answer: The difference was I had my Dark Crow on in one photo and my Snowball in the other photo :)

The one thing common in most MMORPG games is PvP. In Wizard101 this is what a lot of players enjoy the most. Now in Wizard101 UK you don't even have to pay for ranked PvP!!!

Wizard101 UK has announced that in preparation for the Wizard101 Europe PvP Tournament which will be discussed later, they are making PvP FREE for everyone so they can prepare for the tournament.

I think this is a good opertunity for Wizards to grasp their decks and wands and to get crackin on ranking up to Warlord because normally it costs crowns to play ranked PvP. Now as I mentioned, Wizard101 EU is hosting it's first ever Wizard101 Tournament. In this tournament, Wizards will compete in the PvP arena for fun and to step out as the winner with 10,000 crowns or a 2 month Wizard Club Membership.

Now since I only know as much as I read, here are the words of Wizard101 UK Community Manager, Anemsalok. Excerpt from http://board.wizard101.co.uk/ranked-tournament-event

Hello Young Wizards!
Our European Tournament is about to begin! You have until Sunday the 22nd of January midnight (forum time) to subscribe for it. The Tournament will officially start Monday the 23rd of January!

What do you need to do in order to take part:
- Join the European Tournament Subscriptions thread.
- Give us the name, school and level of your Wizard (make sure the forum account you use correspond to the wizard of your choice).
- Read the Rules.
- Join and win as many PvP Ranked 1v1 matches you can till Sunday the 29th of January.
- Respect the Rules and enjoy to the fullest!

WOW! That's pretty amazing. Basically you have until tomorrow night to sign up for the PvP tournament and remember that this is in Wizard101 UK not Wizard101 US. Now the main question everyone has is how do I sign up? Well that's fairly simple. All you have to do is click on this link and sign up :P It's pretty simple. Please remember that one of the guidelines is to read the rules so here they are:

Only 1 Player versus 1 Player RANKED matches will be taken into account (PvP 1v1).

All Participants have to sign in until the 22nd of January (Forum time).

All Participants must fight in the PvP RANKED ARENA of the Unicorn Way.

Practice matches will not count.

Any match other than 1vs1Ranked will not count as tournament match under any circumstances

All card spells are allowed.

Participation with only 1 forum account is allowed.

Pets are allowed.

Mastery Amulets are allowed.

If a Player gets disconnected or flees, he/she loses this match.

Any kind of manipulation made to gain advantage in the Tournament will lead to disqualification.

Team-members of this or any other community can participate since they do not have access to any results.

It doesn’t matter if the person you are fighting with in the Arena also takes part of the Tournament, in this case the fight will count for you. If you both participate it will count for both.

In addition to this PvP update, Wizard101 UK has added tons of new things to the Crowns Shop. Well as people say, all good things must come to an end. Sadly, this must happen for the Snowball :( The Snowball leaves the Spiral in exactly 2 Days and 20+ minutes. Don't fret if you didn't get it because I just figured out a hint KI gave on proof that it will be coming back next year XD

Next year???? SWEET!!! Anyways make sure to say your goodbye's to the Snowball pet because he wont be back "until next year" ^_^

Now remember that HUGE sale Wizard101 was having on Crowns? Well it ended on January 16th and I finally stocked up on Crowns :D Thanks to the sale, I got an additional 2,000+ Crowns with my purchase of 13,750 Crowns ($25). Let's just say I spent a lot of crowns re-gifting people *cough cough* Talon Thunderblade. Talon gifted me 13 Raven's Hoard packs which I was obviously very grateful for but sadly I never got any of the pets like Ethan :( Although non of us got the mount (except for Nick who got the Raven), Ethan got 5 Ice Beetles, 3 Ice Birds, 2 Storm Birds, 5 Earthwalkers, a few treants, and soooooo much more. You should see his house. It's insane how much he got from Raven's Hoards he got. I want to tell you how much Crowns he spent on it but I will let him tell you that in his next post ;)

I also can finally finish all the Worlds!!! I now can go back and finish Wysteria, Wintertusk, and at long last Zafaria. This could take a while :P

Remember my last post about SOPA and PIPA? Well Congress has "indefinitely postponed voting on SOPA and PIPA." This is a huge accomplishment for the Online Society because the millions of people world wide have spoken out and the government has ceased the SOPA and PIPA bill for now. If you are a Wizard who is involved in the bloggosphere or pays attention to blogs, you most likely know of Swordroll. Swordroll is an amazing blog run by Jason Goldriver. I had the amazing opportunity to meet up with Jason in-game. Now Jason is a housing kind of guy. Basically he took over Malorn Ghostirder's position in the community. Jason now runs Housing101 which was handed down by Malorn plus Jason has tons of things about housing on his blog.

Jason and I chatted for a few then went on a photo shoot :P

If you couldn't tell, Jason and I love PvP :P Sadly I had to rush away to a PvP match with Ethan, Nick, and mine and Ethans IRL friend Steven. Needless to say we rocked the PvP arena :)

Remember my post on Project Rank Up? Well I didn't do much work with it in 2011 but I finally started it back up! Now before I talk about it look at how my Wizards used to look like and their level....

Now first off ewwww on the outfits :P The only outfit I haven't changed is the Myth outfit. The Storm outfit is still being worn till level 45 and then I have an epic Dragonspyre outfit planned out which has the same robe as Paige Daisypetal and the same hat as Nick but all this is in Purple and Yellow. Go Lakers! :P

Now you may have noticed that I said I have a Life Wizard. In all honesty I think he looks pretty cool :P Ed Lifegem is gonna have some competition now ;P Oh I forgot to mention he has a Life Troll pet which matches his outfit perfectly :P

As for my Fire, thank god he isn't wearing that Genie outfit anymore :P He actually has some style now which looks pretty cool :)

Yup no more Genie outfit XD He is rocking it with a Firezilla pet which I have had for YEARS! It was my first Wizard101 Giftcard and I remember the day I got it at Best Buy :) Good times... Anyways I got the Galvanic Hammer when KI was giving away those codes over twitter. So yea.... They don't look too noobie do they ;)

Now personally I can write soooo much more but then I will have nothing to blog about! So as I said in the Swordroll section of this post, remember those photos. Why? Because It's time for a MEGA POST CONTEST!!!!

Hey guys!

It's Ethan MythCaller writing about my adventures in the spiral.

So today, I finally beat Wizard City!!!!! I even went to Krokotopia through the portal in Bartelby. Well, I didn't beat ALL of it. I still have a few mission in Colossus Boulevard to do but other than that, I'm finished and will hopefully be starting Krokotopia tomorrow.

On a sadder note, I spent 15,000 crowns on Wyvern and Dragon Hoards hoping to get a mount, but I didn't. Instead, I got about 100,000 coins worth of furniture and other junk that I will probably sell. However, it wasn't all terrible, I got an amazing Vigilant Dragon pet with a pedigree of 63! Which I would say is pretty good for a level 19. I also ranked it up to a teen, but it didn't get one of its epic talents unfortunately. Hopefully next time I might get a better talent. I also got a few other really cool pets, and some nice snacks.

Today I also spent a lot of time with my good friends Blaze Shadowhorn and Nicholas Lionrider, who generously invited me to do a dungeon in Mooshu with them even though they would gain nothing from it. I, however, gained two levels, so I was very thankful to them.

Something I hope to do at the end of every post is post a picture or two of my accomplishments since my last post. So here are a few pics of my day in the spiral...

So that's Ethan's first "post" here :D We just needed to fit it all in one major post but from now on his posts will be actual posts.

Now for my story. Today as Ethan said we did some farming and I got some pet snacks. I used 20k gold to get some rank 7 pet snacks and finally went off to rank up my Snowball pet, Vaden. Now Vaden has a variety of talents he can manifest as you can see over at Petnome but what I was surprised about was he manifested Snow Shield at teen! This isn't a Spritely or May Cast Tower but it's still good. Since I don't have any Snow Shields in my deck I can rely on my trusty pall Vaden to hit me up with one every so often :) I hope that since Vaden's talent slots are really good he will get some good talents in the future like Snowborn or Freeze. Once he gets to Adult I am gonna hatch him with my Snake In a Basket and hope for a Snowball pet with a higher pedigree and my Spritely talent and hopefully Tower Shield. Speaking of which, I have a few pets I need to rank up and hatch. My Defender Pig still has to hatch and get better talents because someone doesn't like giving me an epic talent and instead a rank 1 talent.

Crazy right! 3 Epic slots and I got Effective as my teen talent. Luckily I got Curse as my Adult talent so it's not too bad ;P It still does give a Dryad card so it's worth using XD

My new Fierce Hound I got from my Epic Bundle needs some Ranking Up to do. I might do that tonight and see if he manifests Spritely (like he is supposed to) or Feint.

Check it. I got a Leprechaun pet a few days ago from the Death Oni while helping a friend in Tree of Life. Good place to farm for amazing drops and items. It's funny because I kid you not a few hours before I got it I was in Bazaar with Nick and I was like I wish I got a Leprechaun pet but I don't know where it drops from! :P

Fallon Boongem and I actually go way back to the beginning of 2011. I actually re-met Fallon a few days ago while chatting with Cody (Coco) Raventhorn in the Bazaar. So Fallon ported to Cody. I then asked if we've met before and then she said she has a YouTube and my imaginary light-bulb went DING! I quickly hopped on my YouTube account and checked my old messages and turns out it was the Fallon Bluegem I used to contact in February of 2011 about her YouTube videos and us creating a music video sometime. So yea Fallon and I added each other and our long friendship will continue to grow :) Make sure to go visit Fallon's YouTube channel here and make sure to subscribe to her and add to her 2,000+ Subscribers :D

Now Icy is a different Story. So I was with my good friend Pyromancer Jonathan battling Calypso and then I went afk after the first round. Sorry John! Then when I came back Bailey Skystaff and Icy were their battling those minions that spawn after the battle. I was like "When'd you get here?" lol. Well long story short Icy had to leave :( But before she left she told me these following words:

"Blaze, I had a REALLY good time last night. I usually avoid being on the live air at all cost but you guys made me feel very comfortable.

"... I just didn't want to leave until I got to add you."

I was just touched by this. Getting a compliment this great from anyone would have been enough but from Icy! And let alone she wanted to add me, not me add her (which I would have asked anyways ;P). What a huge honor :)

So yea Icy, your probably going to read this post but it was amazing having you on the show and you probably saved our show so Thanks a bajillion times :) Also we hope to have you on Spiral Live again and maybe next time it will actually be planned ;P
